Evolving from a rough-and-tumble alt-country act into a mature and eclectic indie rock ensemble, Wilco became critical favourites and cult heroes on the back of stylistically diverse body of songs from founder Jeff Tweedy. The band was formed in 1994 by the remaining members of alternative country group Uncle Tupelo.
