Murubutu became involved with hip hop in the early 1990s. As a teacher of philosophy and history at a high school in Reggio Emilia, he began to think about the interaction between educational content and rap music. His intention was to make rap music an expressive medium for conveying cultural concepts without losing the focus on stylistic care.
