Blood Incantation formed in 2011 as a new project of musicians from the Colorado scene. They received critical acclaim after the release of their first album, Starspawn, which was mostly classic death metal with themes of space and death. After that, the band began to evolve their sound, incorporating elements of ambient and psychedelic rock into their music.
