Maip Diop aka AXELL grew up in the Barriera di Milano neighbourhood of Turin, a district well known for the many social problems that plague it. From these problems and the diverse social context in which he lives, Maip draws inspiration for his lyrics and makes music and writing first a personal outlet, then a full-time job.
