Originally hailing from West London, AREEJ was surrounded by strong musical influences, with a Moroccan and Sudanese background, she was drawn into numerous worlds of art and culture. Her distinctive sultry, urban-led jazz tone was influenced by a melting pot of worldwide music, in particular, classical Arabic music.
