Özcan Ateş is a musician based in Bristol, UK. Born in Istanbul, he started playing the bağlama at a young age, which he continues to teach and perform. He plays traditional Turkish and Kurdish folk songs as well as his own compositions. Music is his way of expressing emotions, telling stories, and preserving culture.
