SINGER/SONGWRITER

Born in Pomeroy, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, Begley is the fourth in a family of eight. Her father played accordion and her mother sang, so growing up she had a love of country music. She began singing part time with the Old Cross Ceili Band, becoming Country Flavour. In 1971 she had her first top 10 with the band. Now she's a favourite at country festivals and regularly tours the UK.
