One of the most important Italian progressive rock bands, Banco del Mutuo Soccotso are considered, along with LE ORME and PFM, to be the big three of the RPI genre. This is not only because of their longevity and success in their own country, but also because Banco del Mutuo Soccotso have been able to make considerable inroads abroad, something that hasn't happened to most of their contemporaries.
